Another “double dip” post, and I apologize.
Yesterday I had one of those aaallll day, wrap around your head, never gonna’ let you go, throbbing headaches and nothing – nothing – would touch it!
No medicine, no exercise, no hot shower, hot rice packs, cold rice packs.
My head was quite literally, closed for business.
I climbed in bed and listened to the Rosary on auto-play.
Not even kidding.
So, here I am today with the letters O and P.
O is Optimist – which I always try to be. –
And P is for Promise.- which I always do my best to keep.
It won’t be a long post since it’s a “toofer” and since the devil took all day yesterday from me. I’m gonna’ go ahead and just give this post to the angels.
This is so me.
Think on that for a moment…
I hope you’ve all had a great start to your week and that it only continues to get better from here on out. When my head hasn’t been exploding or imploding, I’ve been attempting to make a dent in my summer reading. Yeah, yeah, I know. Summer isn’t here yet. But I’ve got a lot of books to get thru! You won’t believe how many books I can stuff into a bag at a book sale!
I’ve also been working on some summer tops and dresses for myself because even though it might not technically be summer our weather says otherwise and this girl needs light and airy!
Once upon a time this girl would’ve been sitting around in dental floss.Seriously could’ve lived in a nudist colony…
Happy Tuesday folks and Happy A to Z’ing! No matter what your day brings, just remember. In the words of Gene Simmon’s (KISS) mom, “Every day above ground is a good day!”
I especially agree with ‘P’.

I feel so much better. I don’t know what it was yesterday but man it was like an octopus decided to sit on my head and squeeze. I think I need to make an appt. with the eye doctor.

Sorry to hear that you were unwell, but equally glad that you’re back.
The challenge is not the same without your musings. 🙂

Optimism is easiest when you concentrate on your “now” and leave the past and present to be whatever they are or were. I very seldom go to the dark side these days and it’s because I focus on this minute, this day.
Promises? Yeah, I like that one, a lot. I very often say, “please try, but don’t promise.”

This moment is all we’ve got.. And I love “please try, don’t promise.” I’m going to use that from now on. Thanks Jo!

Okay, now you got me thinking about my younger years. When I was young I had a killer body. Killer. I could wear any bikini and look fantastic. The problem is I couldn’t afford those things (usually wore what I found at rummage sales). When I could afford the bikini’s my body had taken a hike. It wasn’t fair. I still laugh about this, but good grief. God does have a wicked sense of humor.
Have a fabulous headache free day. ☺

I was rockin’ my body right up until about child #3 and then I rocked it again just in time for child #4, then again when the hubs said I’d never be able to fit in his jeans.. Yeah.. Don’t challenge me. I did. And then I got old and cancer and blah, blah, blah. Now I’m just happy to be here. I’m okay with me. I had my time in the sun now I’m quite happy to slap the sunscreen on and sit in the semi shade. Lol.. – And I love that you use the word “killer” given your career choice. 😀
