#25 – People… People who need…

People who need to get a life!
And by people. I mean me.
A perfect example of me needing to get a life?
So many to choose from..

Sometimes… If I’m watching a show or I see something in my Facebook newsfeed about some celebrity, boom, there I am on People.com getting the skinny on “Where are they now?” Or just verifying that one of those idiot famous for being famous chicks really did get that ass implant.
I know, right? Complete and total waste of time.
I told you. I so need to get a life…

So, I’m on People.com and of aaaallllll the headlines they’ve got going on…
Jada Pinkett Smith the drug dealer, Chester Bennington (Linkin Park) hangs himself, O.J. gets paroled… Which one do I click on???

Hhhhmm how ’bout something exciting like…
Ina Garten Shares Her ‘Secret’ To Perfect Guacamole That Won’t Turn Brown.’
Not even lyin’.
Seriously. I need a life.
Oh, and spoiler alert. Her secret is lots of lemon juice. Not a huge secret to anyone on the planet who’s ever made guacamole. Ugh.
I can’t believe I wasted 5 minutes of my life reading about it and yet, there’s the link up there if you too would like to waste 5 minutes of your life.
When I’m not looking up useless information and turning my brain into a sprawling waste land confined within my skull… I like to crochet.
I made these for my granddaughter due in Oct. – SO EXCITED for her arrival!
They were all a lot of fun to make and they should be plenty warm for those northern Michigan winters.
I’m really diggin’ making hats and you’ll be seeing A LOT of these in my posts for kids and adults.

I also made my grandson a couple of t-shirts. One to wear to the baby shower and one just to open when all of the baby stuff is being oohed and aahed over.
The red shirt is a quote from the show Game of Thrones.
I know I’ve been gone but I’ve still been trying to get all of you read. I hope you’re having a fantastic weekend. I’m planning on doing a whole lotta’ nothing. Fingers, eyes, and toes all crossed that those plans come to fruition.
Mimi’s quote for the day –

  1. Love all your crafties!!!!!! So colourful and adorable owls. Don’t feel bad….once I get on Wikipedia I can surf that for hours. And the Harry Potter Wiki too. I can’t get enough HP. Yeah, lemon juice as a ‘secret ingredient’ to guac isn’t exactly a secret. It goes in mine too! lol

  2. I used to be hooked on celebrity gossip. Even had a subscription to People magazine! Mind you, that was way before such vapid celebrities as the Kardashians came along. 😛 Definitely a waste of time and money. A granddaughter should bring lots of excitement into your life. Congratulations! Your handiwork is beautiful. Such vibrant colours! Cool T-shirts, too. May your weekend turn out as planned. Cheers!

    1. Thank you Debbie and my weekend turned out exactly as planned! 😀 And ya’ know, maybe if we had some movie stars instead of celebrities I might be a little more interested but we’ll never have another Cary Grant or Marilyn. 😦 I hope you had a great weekend!

  3. Gotta say the whole celebrity thing escapes me. I especially hate the entire tribe of Kard-ass-ians/Jenn-her-s!!! Hell, I don’t really even follow celebrities I LIKE. Sure, I keep up with the authors I like, but mainly just to find out when their next book is due. (P.S. it’s 9/5/2017 for The Western Star, the latest Longmire book)(P.P.S. did you ever finish The Cold Dish?) That being said, I waste ENTIRELY too much time on Facebook. Even had a couple people unfollow me (not unfriend) because “You just post too much” I may need 12 step program!!! Lol

    1. Ugh. The Kartrashians are the worst. Tied with that Honey Boo Boo/Mama June mess. – Yes. I finished The Cold Dish a long time ago. – I try to limit my Facebook but again and again I get sucked in. If I didn’t blog I probably wouldn’t be on there at all..

  4. I don’t follow celebrities at all. They turned me off long ago with their messed up lives trying to tell us how to think and what to do. Kind of like the media.

I think your life is just fine. You’re doing what you want to do and when you want to do whatever it is you’re doing. Did that make sense?

    Have a fabulous weekend. ☺

    1. Oh. I totally agree with you. That whole section of Hollyweird out there is like a living rendition of The Emporer’s New Clothes. The Emporer is butt ass naked and not a one of them is going to convince me otherwise. Nor will they convince me to chain myself to a tree or form a human chain across a road to save the spotted owl. As we say in Idaho, try wiping your ass on a spotted owl. 🙂 – Yes. You made perfect sense. As always. 🙂
