❤ “Missed Connection Monday” is brought to you by your local Craigslist. These are real “love notes” that strangers leave for other strangers in the ‘Personals’ section of Craigslist. Or as I like to call it – ‘Your local serial killer hunting ground.

You were buying a few things and quickly walked off. I’ve always wanted to see what an older woman was capable of. You stared at me, are you interested? Tell me what you bought so I know it’s really you.
***I’ve always wanted to see what an older woman is capable of.”
What are older women capable of???
Say hello to Katherine Knight.

“When investigators searched her home, they found his head in a pot, boiling away on the stove with some vegetables.”

Still curious what older women are capable of???

It was good seeing you today. Wouldn’t mind catching up if you would like. If not it’s okay, you looked amazing in those green pants with the boots.
***Gee, thanks Tink. Now please step away from the crack pipe.

❤ Hey, hey, hey! Happy 1st Monday of the New Year! Not anymore special than any other Monday really but this one just kinda’ sets the year in motion. Everybody’s back to work, back to school, back to routines, keeping or tossing those New Year’s resolutions.

❤ I’m happy to say that my unplugged weekend was a success and wonderfully peaceful.
Reading, relaxing and enjoying a weekend of yummy teas.

My gently used book is really good so far!
‘Alaska Black Tea Whale Tail Raspberry’
A gift “Miranda” brought back for me from their trip to Alaska.
SO yummy!

❤ Currently, there are powerline tree trimmers in the back and I’ve heard things hit my window no less than 6 times so I’m hoping nothing comes crashing thru!

❤ On tap today is a continuation of my “decrapifying.” It’s a decluttering challenge from the Facebook group, Becoming Unbusy. Toss 100 things in a weekend.

I started on Dec. 27, 2019, and so far I have 90 things tossed so clearly, I’ve failed the weekend toss but today I’m going thru nail polish and all things nails and that will put me OVER 100 things. Go me!

UPDATE: The tree trimmers DID break my window! fuckers Not a hole but a crack from top to bottom! The glass guys are a week out so I hope our mild winter stays mild.

❤ Okay. Heading out to run some errands and then home to finish decrapifying!

What’s on tap for all of you?
Back to work, back to school, back to old routines, new routines???
Happy Monday!
Let’s all have a great week ahead, shall we??

  1. I’m glad you had a quiet weekend. I take the weekends off anymore and it’s wonderful to have a great for two days each week.

I’m well aware of what us older women are capable of.

I loved your term decrapifying. I’m been doing the same too.

Have a fabulous day and week, Karen. Love you. ♥

    • Omgosh. I wish I had been taking my weekends off long ago. I really enjoy the solitude of just being. – I stole decrapifying from the UnBusy crew on Facebook. Such an uplifting site to visit. – Much, much love to you. ❤ Also. I'm absolutely positive that you are way more cougar than any young buck could handle! 😀

  2. Oh my goodness, your posts always make me laugh. I guess older women are capable of some gruesome shit if that’s a real life crime! But I doubt if that was what the guy was imagining. 😂. I’m still loving the concept of decrapifying but need to find the time🥴 and the will🥴🥴. Too bad about your window – hope it gets fixed soon. Very glad Christmas has gone and life is back to normal. Wishing you a happy, healthy, wealthy New Year!

    • Thank you. I just can’t get over how stupid people are with those ads so of course, I must voice my opinion because that’s what we Italian women do. 🙂 I’m happy you like them.

  3. Getting rid of 90 things is amazing. So what if you didn’t make 100? You got rid of 90 more things than you would have if you hadn’t started.

No back to anything for me yet. The school district gave us Monday off, so things don’t kick off for us until tomorrow.

Sorry about your window. I hope they’re paying to have it replaced, since they were the ones who broke it in the first place.

    • Omgosh. I have so many more things to get rid of. I’m just going to keep the list going and see how many more things I can add! – Yay for having Monday off! I hope you enjoyed it and did something fun or just relaxing. – Also, I live in an apt so management will fix the window but their window installers are a week out so now I wait…

  4. Omg, I am cracking up at your comments on the missed connections!! Made my day! Although that photo may give me nightmares!

I got the Xmas crap put away and am now dusting and getting out my ‘winter decor’ and photo frames. Went to an opthamologist today for a recurring issue. Have to return a Xmas gift for my spouse tomorrow. Oh, the life of an older woman!

    • Seriously, tho. Who are these people that post on the Craigslist personals??? They deserve my judgments for being so stupid! Hahahahaha. You know what frightening tho? These people are roaming around my city and Boise really isn’t that big. – Our Christmas is put away as well altho I always keep one little ornament tucked in a corner holding fast to the Charles Dickens quote, “I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.” – I had back to back appts with my dentist and family doc that I rescheduled because I just wasn’t up to doing all that crap in one day. I’m still waiting on Christmas gifts to arrive! The tracking just says they’re en-route to their destination. May today…

  5. It doesn’t say whose or what head she was boiling, it could have been her previous ‘paramour’ but could also have been the pet pig.
The photo, the horrendous photo, is a perfect example of why women should not get breast enhancements, they just look so out of place on an older skeleton.

    • That’s why I put the highlighted link for Katherine in case anybody wanted to read up on exactly what that older woman was capable of doing. And that was her husband’s head in the pot. She was cooking him up to serve to his children, her step-children. Eeeewwww, right??? So be careful what you wish for is what I say to that young buck on Craigslist wondering about older woman. Hahahaha. – That photo is horrendous! And yesss…. I’ve seen woman in their 70’s at the beach who’ve had those implants and now it just looks weird but at the time I’m sure they were hot. 🙂

    • My unplugged weekends are definitely written in stone. It was so nice. And yes, 2020 has been absolutely fabulous so far! I wish the same for you as well, Mimi!

  6. Love your hilarious commentary on the missed connections! 😀 Kudos for your “decrapifying” efforts. Great word! That’s something I need to do, big time, but you have to be in the right mood. It still seems much too overwhelming. I usually don’t blog on weekends but do check other sites and social media. During the holidays, I kept that to a bare minimum and it was lovely. A complete halt for a couple of days a week would likely be even more beneficial. Hard to overcome the addiction, though! 😛 I’m glad you’re enjoying it! 👌 Inspires me to try. What a bummer about the window! 😦 Hope they fix it before bad weather comes along. Have a good rest of the week.

    • Hahaha. Thank you but you know they just make it sooo easy. 🙂 – I’m back at the decrapifying today and will continue on well past 100 and already it just feels much lighter. It’s the same thing the unplugged weekends do. It’s so nice not to be tethered to electronics or stuff. It really is wonderful if you want to give it a try. Just grab a good book and a cup of tea and you’re on your way!

  7. That guy looking for the older woman “eyeballing” (poor word choice there!) him wanting to know what older women are capable of …creepy! Methinks he needs to meet Katherine Knight! And yeah, what the heck does he mean by “what older women are capable of”??

Oh no about those tree trimmers cracking your window!

Congrats on the success of your unplugged weekend, and the continuation of “decrapifying”…I really need to do that. Amazing that you’ve already tossed 90 things.

‘Alaska Black Tea Whale Tail Raspberry’ sounds so interesting and yummy, and I bet it’s good! 🙂

    • You know I like to think that the people on Craigslist looking for love are just fake ads but sadly they’re not and that’s a whole lotta’ dumb ass people running around our cities. – The window guys should be here next week and so far, mild temps so I’m good. – Yesss, the unplugged weekend is the best and I will continue on with it. It’s so relaxing… And the tea is amazing. Next weekend it’ll be a tea from my tea club. 🙂 – Aaannnd. My weekend of decrapifying continues on through today. Clothes… Ugh.
