I AM THANKFUL FOR THE RAINY DAYS

Today, I am joining the Ten Things of Thankful (TToT) blog hop via Messy Mimi’s Meanderings. Thank you, Mimi.

Well, today has brought more than 10 things to be thankful for so I’ll share 10 here and save the rest for my journal.

  1. Loud thunderstorms!
  2. Lots of rain.
  3. Amazon boxes.
  4. Hot tea in special tea cups.
  5. Endless books to read.
  6. Water. I am always thankful for water.
  7. All of my crafting machines.
  8. Warm fuzzy yarn for soon-to-be warm fuzzy slippers.
  9. Pumpkin bread.
  10. And last, but not least this crazy life I live.

What are some things that you’re thankful for today? Be sure to share in the comments.

I hope you’re enjoying your weekend. You can share that in the comments too so we can all share in your joy or just sit back and silently judge you for a weekend spent shopping on Amazon. That’s just crazy. I mean seriously, who spends the weekend on Amazon buying their own Christmas presents NOT ME.

**** Don’t forget about that whole setting your clocks back thing.

  1. I read somewhere years and years ago that to help keep a positive mindset, while you’re brushing your teeth think of three things you’re thankful for. So, I’ve been doing this for years now. Some days it’s easy. Some days not so much. And I may have a few things I repeat from day to day. But it’s a good exercise.

  2. I’m thankful for a roof over my head and enough food and clothes. So many now are homeless, families with kids living in cars or tents.

  3. Water is definitely something to be thankful for. :) I hate changing the time, but at least in fall we gain an hour. The tradeoff is earlier darkness though, and that sucks! 😫 Right now, I am thankful that my dog has fully recovered from a coyote bite she sustained in September. As for the weekend, we spent most of it trying to mouse-proof the house! Finding teeth marks on boxes in the pantry was pretty startling. 😲 Shopping on Amazon sounds like way more fun!

    1. Omgosh. The time switch always messes with me. Why are we still doing this? – I am so sorry to hear about your dog being bitten by a coyote and I’m happy recovering. That had to have been scary. I remember looking across the field and seeing a whole pack of them and the sounds they make are just eerie. – When we lived in the south we learned to keep everything in jars/glass containers because when it got cold or the fields we would get some mice. Steel wool and traps worked for us.
