WIPs
Works In Progress
Here’s a hint…

That’s right! Unfinished craft projects! So, A LOT of crocheting, cross stitching, quilting, watercolors, etc. in 2025. When you realize that you have more crafting time behind you than you do in front of you, it’s time to get the crafting shit done! Aaaannnd, if I run out of crafting time and end up scattered in Lake Michigan. I have a plan.
The Plan
Give everything to my kids for them to finish! I know, not fucking happening. That’s okay though, at least everything will already be labeled and in totes for when they have that big yard sale! I’m no fool.
So. That’s it. My word of the year is WIPs and I plan to WIP it real good!
Are any of you choosing a word of the year?
How about a phrase for the year?
Did you make any New Year’s resolutions??
Yep. I’m still the same nosey bitch in 2025 that I was in 2024 so share with me in the comments!
MIMI’S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY –

❤ mimi ❤

Nope, I never do resolutions or any of that crap. 🤣Just living my life, day by day.

Happy 2025, friend.
My word for this year is : arukah ( a roo ka ) Hebrew meaning to heal, to restore. I feel as if I have much to heal from my past so I can move on to a healthy ( physical and mental ) future.

Happy New Year and good luck with all of your WIPS! 🥂🍾 Life is a WIP and we try to make the most of it. The only resolution I make is the same one, every year: to lose weight, especially the extra pounds piled on from holiday feasting. 😆

Thank you, Debbie. I’m hoping to get to all of them but if not, there’s always my kids. Lol. Omg. The holiday feasting totally does me in but I convince myself it’s only once a year and holiday calories don’t count! :)

That snow thing is interesting. Is it a WordPress plugin?
I still feel guilty about carting so many of my great grandmother’s knits to Goodwill. (Stuff that I’d never wear. Stuff that did not fit. Stuff that was way too warm for me.) But part of me felt like when I frogged one of her projects to use the yarn for mine, she was smiling.

The snow is in the settings on WP. I just found it and it ends on January 4th. Boo. That’s a great balance, Liz. I just saw a whole show about women who gather up the yarn projects/clothing/blankets and wash them up to rework the yarn. I’m a rescuer when I thrift, which by the way, I LOVE to do. :)

Love the play on WIPS and WHIPS! Good luck, I know just what you mean on completing what you’ve started. I’m in the same place.

Interesting choice. I have a lot of WIPS around too including crocheting, diamond art, water painting, etc.
