FRIDAY – Friendly fill-ins – jan. 3

Joining in some friendly fill-ins with Four-Legged Furballs & 15andmeowing.
And the fill-ins are…

1. My guideword for 2025 is – balance. Not to be confused with my Word of the Year, Wips.

2. I am counting the days to – I’ll give you a hint.
That’s right, Christmas and the countdown began at midnight on the 26th of Dec. 2024!

3. 2025 is the year that I will – watch my second grandchild graduate!!

4. I need to better organize – here’s another hint… Yessssssssssssssssssssss all of my crafting stuff!

That’s it for my fill-ins but you can fill in the blanks too and share them in the comments. I would love to see what your fill-ins are!

It’s also Feline Friday but since I am deathly allergic to cats and can’t have them, here’s a pic of our newest furry family member. His name is Beau. He’s a little over a year old so still a puppy. He’s a Maltipoo that was gifted to us. He’s super cute, super smart and we just love him to pieces!

Happy Friday, everybody!
Since I’m still recovering from that wild New Year’s Eve party I had in my living room, in my pajamas, toasting my loves with hot cocoa, I think I’ll stay in tonight and just kinda’ chill.

I don’t have any big plans for the weekend either unless it snows and then I’ll be out in it. We’ve had snow in the valley once. It didn’t last long but it was amazing. It was the best snow, packing snow, the kind of snow used for building snowmen, and having snowball fights! I took Beau for a walk in it and he absolutely loved it!  He must’ve gotten the vibe that loving snow is a mandatory prerequisite for being in our family. Seriously, I wish for tons and tons and tons more snow!

Got any snow lovers out there? What about your dogs and cats?
Three days into the New Year, so far so good, yes?
It’s a yes for me and I hope the same is true for all of you too!

  1. I’m looking forward to a few couples night out dinners this month and taking the grands to Disney on Ice. I HATE snow. We got a foot dumped on us the last 24 hours. I’m hibernating this weekend.

You are not old enough to have grands graduating!! Most of my friends are still waiting on their kids to get busy 🤣

    1. So many people hate snow. What’s the dealio man? Lol. You can send all of yours out here because Boise, Idaho is lacking in a big way! Disney on Ice is fun. I remember those days. – I have a grandson in college right now. My 2nd grandson is graduating in June and by the fall I will have two grandsons in college. Lol. That’s how old I am! Hahahaha! I’ll be waiting a bit on my granddaughters but my oldest (5th grade) has already decided on Michigan State for college. Lol. My youngest granddaughter, who I lovingly call Wednesday Addams is 8 and she was building robots with her Dad on Christmas. Lol. I still hint for more grandkids but that’s a resounding NO from everyone. Hahahaha! Your friends need to start that baby talk! Somebody’s kid will cave. Lol.

      1. I hate driving in the snow and we hate snow blowing our driveway (which is long and steep). Plus, I hate being cold.

Ok, you are the same age as me, that’s why it’s shocking that you could have grands in college. At this rate, you’ll be a great grandma by 2030! That is crazy!

        1. Okay. Are you going to move to Florida when you’re 100?? Lol. You have 4×4 accessibility. You have a snow blower. You can put a sweater on or eat more. Problems solved. Hahahaha – And yes, we are the same age but… Once upon a time I met a guy that looked like Bo Duke from The Dukes of Hazzard. He drove fast cars, built big trucks and modeled. Most importantly, he gave me gorgeous children. The end. Lol. – Okay, you’re going to make my head explode if you mention I could be a great grandma. Lol. Holy hell… I need some oxygen!

  2. Beau is adorable and I’m glad he shares your love of snow. Our Zoey (who is from Kentucky) doesn’t like it any more than I do! 😆 The little bit we had is gone, but there’s sure to me more in the next three months. 🥶 Somehow, I don’t think of you as a grandma, but congrats to your grandkid. 🎓

      1. Or he could just be himself, a friend of online cats.

The flower you mentioned on my blog, I think it’s the lantana, that’s what River calls it (i have a black thumb and kill plants, these are all in a friend’s garden). If it’s not, I’ll go back a look again and ask my friend what’s there.

        1. A much better option. :) – I looked up that flower and it is Lantana! It’s a medicinal plant that I had never heard of. I’m going to definitely pick some up as soon as they’re available here. Thanks, Mimi.

  3. I don’t really have an opinion about snow. It’s something that other people have to deal with. (It doesn’t snow here.)

I agree with the cartoon. It’s just a matter of good storage when it comes to craft supplies.

    1. I’ll come back to visit even if you don’t fill out the fill-ins or anything else. Lol. – I’m sorry for your health problem. I know several people who suffer with fibromyalgia and it sounds absolutely hideous. I really don’t know how people work through it. I hope your health improves in 2025 too! – I love crafting and painting and card making and crochet… The is list is long. And I’m with you. I need to get a handle on my craft stuff too!

  5. Beau is a cutie. Thanks for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. Balance is a nice choice. Sounds like you like Christmas as much as I like Halloween. :)
