WOULD YOU BELIEVE?

Yes! It happened! That’s me getting sucked up into the spaceship! And I would’ve been back sooner, but this was my Captain, and, well… I may or may not have been a willing captive.

So, hey everybody! How are you? I know there’s a lot of catching up to do. I hope everyone is well and enjoying this flip-flopping springtime weather that seems to be making the rounds.

Something else has been making the rounds out here, too, but I have no idea what. This past week, I was in bed sick. Literally, in bed. I hadn’t been that sick since I had Covid so it’s really been an ass kicker. I still have something going on with my right ear. Totally clogged and can’t hear a thing out of it. My energy level is off, too. It just randomly drops, and instantly, I feel like I need a nap! I had just been to my doctor three days prior, and everything was fine. I’m guessing I picked something up there. Who knows. It’s so crazy. You follow all of the procedures, dunk yourself in a barrel of hand sanitizer, and you still get sick.

I hope none of you are sick or anyone in your families, and that life, for the most part, is good. We all have our days, but the plus side to that is that we’re still having our days. Right?

And really important? Take care of yourselves. Put all of those self-care tips into practice. You’re just as important as those you care for.

Oh. Totally forgot… Are any of you doing the A to Z Challenge?

  1. Being sick truly sucks and I hope you feel better soon! It is great to see a post from you, though. As for the A to Z Challenge, not happening. šŸ˜† I did it four years in a row and got totally burned out. Plenty of blogging buddies are involved and I keep tabs on them, here and there. Our weather has been crazy, but today feels almost spring-like. Have a good week!

    1. It does! It’s just so inconvenient especially when it lays you out flat. I am feeling much better now. I still have some kind of ear issue going on but I’ll take that over the all over body aches. I can’t remember the last time I did an A to Z. I see the notices pop up and I think about it for a minute and then I’m like, nah, not this year. Lol.

      1. I’m glad you’re feeling better and I hope the ear problem clears up. I had a bad ear infection years ago that left me with tinnitus.

No more daily blog challenges for me, but I admire people who can do it and still maintain their normal lives.

        1. Thank you. It’s just so weird. I can’t hear a thing out of my right ear. I made another dr appt so let’s see what she says. Tinnitus does not sound fun at all. Yeah, daily challenges are tough, hell, I can’t even blog every day! I hope to change that but anymore it’s like trying to rope the wind.

          1. I hope the doctor is able to help with the ear problem! Tinnitus is annoying at times, but mostly, you get used to it and barely notice it.

I don’t think blogging daily is necessary. Most people struggle with time constraints and would be hard-pressed to follow every post. Better to publish one or two a week, IMO. Gives them plenty of time to read and comment. :)

  2. We have flip-flopping weather here too, but it is autumn that’s playing games and giving us more of the summer heat we are all sick of. Soory to hear you are sick and hope by now you feel much better. Nothing wrong with naps anyway, I nap everyday, sometimes on purpose! Other times I just doze off at the keyboard.

    1. Oh, I wish it was autumn here. I am so not a fan of summer and I’m dreading the upcoming triple digits. – I feel so much better and I do like a good nap! My little sister takes a nap every day. She swears by it. :)

  3. I’m sorry you’ve been sick. That sucks. I hope you’ve fully mended.

I caught something in January. It’s been lingering off and on since then. I almost got well by the end of January, but then my mother died and I had a relapse. Then I got fully well for about three days in March only to have it hit me in full force again. Oh, I think I had a week or so where I felt good in February. Anyway, I think I’m fully over it now *knocking on every wooden piece of furniture within reach*.

    Yes, I’m doing A to Z.

    1. Liz, I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I’m so sorry. It’s difficult to move along with the daily grind with great loses so I hope you’re managing. – I’m feeling much better and I hope you’re fully over whatever bug got a hold of you. Wow. I’m sorry you got hit so hard with everything all at once and you’re doing the A to Z. You’re amazing…

      1. Yeah, it’s been a wild ride. But A to Z is easy for me. I would have skipped it if I didn’t feel like I could manage it.

          1. I skipped it a couple years due to the visiting requirement. We were supposed to visit 5 blogs on the list. I think? But that ended up being such a slog that I stopped doing the whole challenge for a couple years.

Then I saw (last year, I think) how you can choose on the sign up list if you’re going to blog hop. I admit I won’t, but I do visit back everyone who leaves a comment (as long as I can–some commenters don’t leave a link). That makes it doable for me.
