It’s another late Monday post. Time just gets away from me!
I hope you’ve all had a great Monday, this fantastical first day of fall! How was everybody’s weekend?? Mine was wonderful and just what I needed. We had great weather and a couple of random very brief thunderstorms that I wish would’ve lasted all day!
I have pics from the weekend, but because I grabbed my old – the Android – and used it to take the pics, I can’t post them because they’re still downloading to my external hard drive. – ALL of them! I’m not even kidding. This is only 30,000+, there is another 10,000+ to go!
Mimi, why are you downloading all of those photos? I’m so happy you asked! Because I’m trading in my Android for credit towards my iPhone – which actually lowered my bill by the way – but I couldn’t trade it in with my whole life trapped inside! Holy hell! So, maybe sometime in 2027 I’ll be able to share the pics of my super fun weekend with you! In the meantime, just know it was a great weekend.
For Monday’s music, I just used today’s date and picked a random year and looked up what song was popular on this day back in 1971, and it just so happens it’s one of my favorites. I hope you enjoy it too!
So, today, while the photos were downloading, I took out some super cute fabric and got a pattern all cut out and ready to sew for tomorrow, then, as soon as I’m done sewing that I’m going to finish up a crochet project. They’re both funny, but I can’t say much more about them because they’re gifts, but once she’s received them I’ll post pics because they won’t be trapped in my phone!

It depends on how frustrated I get with it because it doesn’t have all my stuff where it was on my Android. Lol. To be fair, it’s got a lot more bells and whistles than my Android, and it’s just a matter of learning it all. Thank God for Siri because if I don’t know how to do something, I just tell her to do it, like close all the open pages I have on Google because I can’t find the back button! Hahahaha. – I liked that song too. I still sing it to my kids, I don’t care how old they’re getting! – I hope you’re having a great week so far. I love you bunches, Sandee. Big hugs to you!

Congrats on the new phone! I’m looking forward to those pics of your fabulous weekend. 😎 We didn’t do anything special; just hung out on the back deck and threw som Italian sausages on the bbq. Still feels like summer here. Early autumn is nice too, though. 🍂

Thank you, and yeah, your weekend definitely sounds like summer! And those Italian sausages sound great. I always get the sweet Italian sausages. I grill those up – indoor or out – with some green and red peppers and sweet onions. I get the marina sauce ready, some mozzarella and Parmesan cheese and some grilled hogey buns, a side salad, a cold beer, and we’re home free for a delicious easy dinner. I know, you’d think wine, but there’s just something about cold beer with anything “bratzy-ish.” Lol

I’m still trying to figure out how to rescue the photos from my old phone. I hope you can get them all downloaded soon.
My weekends are mostly the same, go clean my parent’s house on Saturday, take my special needs friend to church on Sunday, babysit teh granddaugher on Sunday evening. Enjoyable, but not wild. I tthink I’ve been tamed! There are worse things, of course.

I had to Google how to do it and even then I still had to mess around with it. Now I’m a pro! Lol! – Ah, I leave the wild weekends to my kids and my 2 grandsons in college! Your weekend is a continuous plan and there’s something to be said for that. It’s enjoyable to you and you never have to wonder about what you’ll be doing for the weekend, plus, you are most definitely a blessing to those around you. I, on the other hand, am most probably a curse to those around me. : )

Well, at least you’re making progress on the photo download. It’s amazing how many photos we collect nowadays. On this date in 1971 I was not quite 2 months old.

This whole digital photo world is all too much for me sometimes. Every January, I go through all of mine from the previous year and then order prints of what I want. I still like to have photos in frames of my grands around the house.

I agree. I am a frame and photo album person. I like to look up or around and see my kids and grandkids. I spend a ridiculous amount of time on my phone and I’m trying to have a start time and end time. So far it’s working and I’ve been getting great sleep. So that’s a bonus.
