Omg. I don’t know how many of you watched this train wreck on ‘Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve’ but holy shit. I don’t think I’ve ever been more embarrassed for someone and I challenge any of you to watch/re-watch this “performance” without cringing. This was just painful.
Either way. Mariah Carey should have been waaaay more professional than what she was. She acted like a spoiled toddler throwing a tantrum on stage and it really did nothing for her other than to make her appear as a diva “has been.”

More snow, 2″-5″, and then single digit temps are on the way for us here which means more crafting is on the way for me. Yay! I love it when the weather cooperates like that.

I didn’t see it when it happened but when everybody was yackin’ about it I had to see what the fuss was. H-o-w embarrrraassssing. I’m with you. I take no stock in the “advice” these morons attempt to dole out. If I wanted to be a nut job I suppose I’d go hang out in the nut hut and take advice from the pros!

I’ve always loved her music. I cannot deal with her love affair with her implants and her body. I’m glad she is comfortable in her skin, but I’m really tired of looking at her “exposure”.
The tantrum was painful. Why she didn’t just do a little live singing with the band who did have her music? No answer except she was unprepared. Unprofessional and probably going to hurt her performance demands.
I have more issues roaming around in my head than can be addressed here that could fall in the tough titty category…DJT.

Right. I mean when she first started out. Fine but she’s past that pop singer status – or should be. She needs to grow with her career. And I was thinking the same thing Jo. Why the hell didn’t she just break out in a lit’l song n’ dance and go with it. Instead she just looked like an idiot..

I just watched the video – what a waste of good time. That was a lousy performance, had she been drinking? What was with the choreography? The thing she was wearing … not for her figure. Thought they had something to keep the fabric where it belonged. Not impressed.

I saw it live, and it was painful. At first I thought it was the sound and her earpiece, but I have a friend from high school who has worked with her and is still styling folks in Hollywood. He said she didn’t show up to the show’s run-through and when she did finally show up, she was drunk. Totally hearsay, but there you have it. It was just a hot mess from start to finish, after they had been counting down to it all night. It was supposed to be the biggest thing besides the ball drop.
No snow for us. I hope that cold weather isn’t headed this way. We’re at a rainy but warm 54 degrees today. Can’t imagine it will last very long.

Train wreck is the perfect way to describe that Mariah thing. Wow. Doesn’t she know her own songs? Why didn’t she just start actually singing? I don’t understand the stupid lip synch thing. It needs to be live or don’t even bother.

It was probably too cold for her to actually sing a whole set but she could’ve sang at least one song but she just handled that whole thing horribly. I would’ve totally had fun with it and involved the audience, took a bunch of selfies or whatever.

Her performance was pretty painful to watch. I was amused that the dancers kept right on dancing. Thankfully, someone was a professional on the stage. I kept wondering why she didn’t just start singing live. I may be dumb about these things, but seemed like a no-brainer to me. Never been much of a Mariah fan…just do not understand why she has to scream instead of just sing. Feel the same about most female pop singers. For hell sake, they’re not at a screaming contest. Or are they?? LOL
You know, one of the 5237 reasons I love living in Idaho is the fact we do get to enjoy the four seasons. Don’t even mind the snow and the cold. But holy crap, enough is enough!! The back roads out of my subdivision are treacherous and one best not stop for fear of being unable to get going again. The puppies love to play in the snow, though, and really makes me laugh watching them. Yes, from the comfort of inside my home! You are lucky in that you can stay home, bundled in fuzzy socks and pjs, crafting and drinking coffee. Some days, I wish for retirement.

I thought the same thing Valarie! Why the heck didn’t she just sing?? But then I remember seeing something somewhere about how horrible the cold is on the throats of singers. Idk, so I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt but holy hell, she could’ve done something! And those male dancers she had gathered round were supposed to be lifting her all around that stage. Well clearly that’s like trying to catch a greased pig. Mariah, you’re not 18 anymore, put some clothes on and fucking sing. – I’m ready for this snow to be gone and for the sun to shine and warm my bones but ya’ know, seems like time flies as it is and I really don’t want to rush anything. – Be safe out there. ❤

On New Year’s Eve I was watching Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin, but I heard about the train wreck and later watched it. OMG how embarrassing for Mariah, it is cringe-worthy!! The sabotage stuff is just ridiculous. Yeah, what would be the point? Mariah is such a spoiled diva, she just cannot face the fact that she screwed up, no one else is to blame. I agree, she should have acted much more professional. Her later reaction to it made it even worse. Yep, “Suck it up buttercup” ‘cause “Shit happens!”

Omg. I love those two together. I think they should have a show together. So, so FUNNY!!!! – I agree. There were any number of ways she could’ve handled that to make it funny with audience participation but she chose the spoiled brat tantrum.. Bet they won’t be asking her back.
