2020 – SO LONG, FAREWELL…

THURSDAY – October 22
*****Thankful Thursday & Birthdays!
I am thankful for warm, fuzzy socks and this photo pretty much sums it up on how I feel about them.
Happy, Happy, Birthday, Birthday to my twin niece and nephew, Matt, and Hannah.
They’re fabulous kids, okay, adults and I just love them to pieces!

FRIDAY – October 23
*****On my crochet hook.
Snowflakes! Lots n’ lots of snowflakes!

SATURDAY – October 24
*****On my craft table…
It’s all about the sparkles!

SUNDAY – October 25
*****Inspiration

MONDAY – October 26
*****Around the house

TUESDAY – October 27
*****Covid update
Fortunately, no family members but a close family friend, M, and her husband both had Covid. They both survived it but it was worse for M than for her husband. And let me just say, they are both young (30’s) and both very healthy. So, forget what you’ve heard about the virus only hitting the older folks. It’s hitting everybody.
Wear a mask and social distance when you should.
Wash your hands and be kind, always.

WEDNESDAY – October 28
*****Wordy Wordless Wednesday
Can you imagine seeing this in someone’s yard at night???

THURSDAY – October 29
*****Thankful Thursday
I am so thankful for my Instant Pot and all of the wonderful things I can do with it.
Today, I’m getting these lit’l pie pumpkins ready to mash up and use for baking!

FRIDAY – October 30
*****Every year I have to post this family costume choice and every year I have to ask…
What in the actual fuck???
Also… What is the little girl doing????
I seriously need to know the back story on this photo.
These people are freaks.

SATURDAY – October 31
*****HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Also, Happy Birthday to my B-I-L, Chris!

We made it through another month of 2020!!! Woot! Woot!
Two more months to go before we ring in what I hope will be a much kinder, loving, virus-free, New Year.

In the meantime… We are entering into November, the month of Thanksgiving and despite what the world looks like at the moment, we still have so much to be thankful for and I plan on sharing something I’m thankful for every day of this month.

I don’t know what November holds for us or what the rest of the year and into 2021 will look like but I do know it will look however we choose for it to look.
Here’s to many, many starry, starry nights for all of us.
Be safe. Be well.
Aaaaaannnnddddd….

  1. You have instant pot? Did not know that existed. It will be legal in Jersey soon, I might just try the instant stuff, I hate waiting to get high!

  2. I’m so disturbed by that family photo, I can’t even! And I feel dumb, but I have no clue what that other photo is going for? Hell? It’s creepy for sure. I look forward to all your posts as they are a bright spot in my week. Here’s to a thankful November!

    1. Right??? I’ve been posting that same photo for almost 20 yrs and I still don’t have the backstory! – I think the creepy photo was supposed to be hell. – Well, I am happy to be a bright spot as opposed to other’s opinions… “Holy shit, does this bitch ever shut up??” Hahahahaha. – Yesssss I am ready for a thankful November, a peaceful November, a November of love…

  3. Many happy returns to your twin niece and nephew, and yes, Covid can get young people, and hard. Our former choir director’s daughter, young and with 3 young boys, is now relearning how to walk, they hope to figure out why she’s having memory problems and get her some kind of therapy for that, and have her driving again early next year. This thing is not a joke.

May kindness rule all of next year.

  4. I have taken to my fainting couch over that family costume. Those people need to be locked UP! Tres disturbing. Otherwise, enlightening as usual. Love ya MMM!

    1. I found this pic yeeeaaars ago at the very beginning of my blogging days and I’m horrified every time I see it but there’s got to be a back story and it is, I’m hoping, the creepiest Halloween family costumes.

  5. Happy Birthday to your twin niece and nephew! I love warm, fuzzy socks too; I’m wearing a pair right now. Your crocheted snowflakes are really lovely. I hope that was a decoration spider hanging around your house!!

I’m glad your family members are safe from Covid but I’m so sorry to hear about your friends. Covid really is hitting everyone no matter the age. It’s just awful. I am very careful about wearing a mask and social distancing when I can.

I cannot imagine that…whatever that is! being in someone’s yard at night! LOL on those freaky costume choices by your family!! Love, love Don McLean, and I especially his song Vincent. Happy November to you too! 🙂

    1. Hahaha. Okay, those freaky costumes are not my family. Hahahahaha. I know what you meant tho. 🙂 – I’m happy that you are staying safe Madilyn. They say it will be worse soon. I hope that’s not true. – Yes. That spider was a decoration and now it’s gone. I’m ready for Christmas now. 🙂 – I knew you would love that song. It’s one of my faves and I always get teary eyed when I listen. – I hope November is being kind to you and yours. Hugs. ❤
