This may be true but waking up at 2am is definitely a sign of my bladder awakening!
Do you think the human bladder shrinks when a person goes to bed?
Asking for a friend.
I’m old… Fuck.
PS – I feel totally jipped outta’ my spiritual awakening this morning.
In other news…
Look for the Harvest Moon tonight and toss some bones into the “bone fire.”
I wonder who’s bones they tossed in…
And speaking of “bone fire.” We had such a beautiful day todayΒ I spent most of it outdoors letting the sun warm up these old bones of mine, which, interestingly enough, will one day also be thrown into a bone fire. So, there’s that.
Later I had some homemade lentil soup – delish – and worked on some birthday cards for the Sept./Oct. birthdays in my family, and of course, I caught up on some reading. All n’ all a pretty mellow Monday.
I hope you had a wonderful Monday and were able to soak up some rays and spend a little time with your favorite things, and/or people.
Fall is only two days away, people!!! Raise your hand if this time of year just makes you feel all warm n’ fuzzy inside. It does me!
Enjoy the moon tonight!!
MIMI’S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY –
β€ XoXo β€
I did get some warmth. I stand outside to greet the kiddos as they arrive, and I was in full sunlight. It may be fall on the calendar, but it isn’t quite fall weather here yet. (We don’t really get a true fall.)

Hey, that’s cool that you stand outside to greet the kids. I loved that when I was little and I know my kids loved it too. There’s just something about a friendly, welcoming face… It means a lot to a lot of kids… – I’m sorry you don’t get a true fall. If I could send you some I would because it is so wonderful. π

It is splendid, we will actually have cooler temps on the first day of autumn and it’s such a blessing!

Splendid is EXACTLY the word to describe it. π And I agree. Cooler temps are true blessings, as is autumn. π

Well gosh, I NEVER wake up between 3 and 5. I’ll wake at 1.30 and 5.30, even 11.50 right before midnight. i guess I’m not the spiritual sort.

Hahahahaha. My body clock usually wakes me right at 3am give or take a couple of minutes. Maybe the spiritual part is that the quiet is so heavenly. π

I did see the moon last night because I had to pick my daughter up at 9 pm. It was peeking from behind the clouds and very pretty.
I had to do a 48 hour urine collection a few weeks ago due to my kidney stone. Lots of fun with that in the middle of the night!

Ouch. I’ve never had a kidney stone but a friend of mine and my brother have and it doesn’t sound fun at all. I hope the stone has passed, altho that sounds painful too!

Looks like you had a fabulous day. Good for you.
We had workers here all day yesterday and will for the rest of the week. Our first floor will be fabulous when they are done. All I know is I have my washer and dryer back and I’m happy about that. So I was outside numerous times yesterday and enjoyed the sun, I’m with you on autumn and cooler temperatures. It was a hot and smoky summer. Just like every summer in California anymore.
Have a fabulous day, Karen. Love you bunches. β₯

Are you posting pics? It’s always a pain to live around workers and for workers to work around you! π I’m happy you have your washer and dryer back too! I have to take my heavy bedding to laundry mats and those suck. – Has California always been a burning state? I don’t remember anything this bad when I was growing up. I hope it clears up sooner than later. – Love you too. β€

No, when they did forest management it didn’t burn, but when they stopped it now burns every year. π

Oh. I should’ve thought of that. It certainly does make a difference… The powers that be need to bring that back.

I’m old too and haven’t slept through the night since….well, probably never. π Love The Harvest Moon! I tried to snap a few pics last night, but it was too cloudy here. Hope you got a decent night’s sleep, Karen. Enjoy your fall weather! We had some rain this morning, but now it’s sunny again, Yay! π

Hahahaha! Most of the time whenever there’s a beautiful moon we have to drive either further into or out of the city to see it. It’s either too cloudy or buildings are in the way. Sometimes I’ll just wait to see the pics other people take. π Tomorrow… FALL! Woo hoo! π

The harvest moon was beautiful! That waking up between 3-5 am can be a sign of spiritual awakening would sure be nice since Iβm always waking up at that time just to make a bathroom run! One of the joys of aging lol! Homemade lentil soup sounds delish. I love fall colors when the leaves are turning. Love the Longfellow verse!

Did you get any shots of the moon, Madilyn? I didn’t see any come across my feed. – I usually wake up at 3am every morning. I have no idea why… Any earlier and it’s definitely a trip to the bathroom! Lol. – Have the leaves started changing out your way yet??

I did get shots of the harvest moon but I didn’t post them because they look so much like a moon photo I had posted recently on FB. The leaves are just beginning to change a little here. Fall is the worst time for my sinus allergies but I love the fall colors on the leaves!

Aw, sorry about your sinuses. It’s summer for me and that stupid sagebrush out here.
