I will actually be doing all three because I like to multi-task and I’m just cool that way.
CHRISTMAS VACATION – Via Skype, with my grandbabies and kiddos back east. I can’t wait to see their beautiful faces and see what Santa brought them all!
TRAVELING TO FAMILY – I’ll be heading up the mountain a few days ahead of Christmas to spread some holiday cheer.
STAYING HOME – Christmas Eve and Christmas day will most definitely be at home with “Tom & Jerry” and furry lit’l Luci. Low-key with some great food, great music, and great movies. Snug as bugs in a rug just relaxing… Aaaahhhhhhh.
What about you? Home, traveling or vacationing this Christmas??
We have the “Journey of 4 Christmases”, my parents are divorced, her parents are divorced, and we do a “Christmas” for each plus our own at home! Two days off then my Mom’s Birthday, the next day mine, then three days to New Years Eve!!! I swear I need to go back to work just to take a break from my holidays!!!

Hahaha! Holy smokes! That’s a lot of Chrismassing (I made that word up.) I’m so happy ours is going to low-key this with so much going on in the days leading up to Christmas.

Merry Christmas to you and your family, Karen. 🙂
Hubby and I have no immediate family here (his is in Italy, mine in California) and we look forward to our annual alone time. Well, not really alone, because it’s busy season at The Doglady’s Den and we’ll have a house full of four-legged guests. We do his Italian seafood thing on Christmas Eve and make enough to last three days. My German opening gifts ritual is also that night and we’ll start the Christmas movie marathon after dinner. It continues all the next day and sometimes into Boxing Day (Dec. 26). Hubby is off work until Jan. 4, so that’s always nice.

Oh Debbie! That sounds like a FANTASTIC way to celebrate Christmas! I love all of the traditions involved shared by you two. That makes me smile. Merry Christmas to you as well Debbie, and it certainly sounds like it’s going to be very Merry. 🙂

It’s this time of year when I miss living on the west coast. No familial obligations whatsoever which is the way I like it. Since moving back here, I absolutely hate having to head into town to make the rounds to my mom and his sister, then rush home to host for the stepkids to come over. I just want to be left alone. I mean the kids coming over is fine, I just don’t want to have to leave the house.

I know a lot of people who share your sentiments, JoJo. Typically I like to be the one out in the hustle n’ bustle but this year a low-key Christmas will be a good thing I think.
