TOUGH TITTY TUESDAY – It’s Okay To Laugh, Really It Is..

TOUGH TITTY TUESAYI’m with ya’ Mr. Eastwood!
Our society has become so tight-assed that EVERY move, comment, thought, photo, etc. must be placed under a microscope of  those who decide what is and/or what isn’t, “politically correct,” funny or socially acceptable.Someone should write a book. In fact, write a few of ’em.
You know, like this guy.

Here are some suggestions –
Wouldn’t this make life so much easier?
We’d all be on the same page.
Void of intelligence, choice, personality and seemingly, most important, void of a sense of humor.
Recently, comedienne – keyword, comedienne – Ellen DeGeneres posted this pic of her and her friend, Gold medalist Olympian, Usain Bolt.
When I saw this pic my first thought was, “Wow, no kidding.” My mind did not immediately go to anything racist or degrading or unjust. I saw the humor. The humor intended by the comedienne, Ellen Degeneres.
Which, FYI, I’m pretty sure she probably ran this photo by her friend, Usain Bolt, before she posted it.
The backlash and comments that ensued because of this photo are mind-boggling.
TO THE COMMENTERS AND THOSE “POLITICALLY CORRECT” ASSHOLES:
Tough Titty!
This is a funny pic of two friends and nothing more. If I had a friend that fast, black, white, purple or green, I’d wanna’ be piggybacking him around too!
Side Note: If you have a Twitter account you can view the tweet and all comments, here.
If not, CNN has a post, here.

What say ye’ my good people? Is this photo offensive, racist, politically incorrect??
Or did you, like me, just see the humor.
My plans for this “Tough Titty Tuesday” include NOT leaving my house because of the triple digit heat. I will most likely be sewing, reading and catching up on my ‘CSI’ seasons on Hulu and then switching over to HBO Now to finish up season #6 of ‘Game of Thrones.’
What’s on tap for your ‘T.T.T?’
Stay cool or warm, and to my peeps in the south, stay dry and safe!
And remember to laugh a little. It’s okay. Really it is.

  1. I’m with you here. I think it’s funny not racist at all. It’s her friend for God’s sake. Friends do all kinds of goofy things with each other and to each other. Get a life for all those that find this racist. You obviously don’t have anything else to do but judge others. Tough Titty.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

  2. Seriously? People were upset about that photo? I’m pretty much “colour blind” and thought it was cute. To accuse Ellen of racism is ludicrous.

We’ve had over-the-top hot weather too, but it’s been raining all day. Hope that squelches some of the humidity!

  3. I know, Debbie. The world is nutso and I’m sooo tired of it. Just say what you wanna’ say, post it, take photos. Not everybody has to like it or you, ya’ know? So done caring about it all.
Please, please, please send that rain this way! I don’t know the last time it rained here and we need it so bad.

  4. Well that made me LAUGH!
Ellen is funny, the picture is funny. I can’t even look at the comments because they will piss me off… sweet baby cheesecake IT’S ELLLLLLLLLEN!!!!!

That’s my whole thing with social media, news, etc all the yelling and the whole ugly sport of picking at people. It’s so fucking disgusting and a complete waste of energy.
I can’t take it and it’s never where I found my good times. Dicks… that’s a good time. More dick jokes, more titty twisters. XX

  5. Wow – have things got THAT touchy? When I saw the pic (on here just now for the first time) I smiled, immediately thinking of Usain’s awesome ability. I had to really think about how this could be in any way offensive. They look happy and doing the crazy things friends do together – regardless of race or colour. Hey listen – people with ginger hair get abused all the time – hair and skin are made of the same stuff so let’s make insulting ginger people against the law should we? I am very very pale skinned and the teasing I have taken off people who tan easily is awful! But I don’t go bleating about it – that’s life – I am just glad I have skin and am alive. I am with Tracey (in comments) I don’t even want to look at the stupidity surrounding this. It is time we stopped seeing black or white people and just see PEOPLE – all part of the same race – the HUMAN race. Great post! x

    1. Thank you Gilly. Together we’re so much stronger rather than nit picking each other to death. And I know what you mean about being of fair skin. My daughter has taken her fair share of teasing in that dept. Coming from an Italian family she is BY FAR the fairest of them all but she never gets offended. She’ll kick your ass if you call her the human glow stick because, ya’ know, again, Italian. 😉

        1. Hahaha. When we lived in the south the kids would tease her because she was skinny. Yeah. Can you believe that?? They used to say, “She’s so skinny you couldn’t hit her with a hand full of corn!” Hahahaha. I dreeaaam of people saying this about me! Hahahaha

  6. I am so sick of Generation Butthurt and their battle cry, I’M OFFENDED! Honestly the media drives a lot of this by trying to point out something to complain about by headlining things, ‘controversial picture/tweet/interview….’ or whatever, and then that stirs people into a frenzy.
