SPIDERS & GNATS & WORMS! OH MY!

1.) It’s been raining for two days and I have no complaints. Ya’ wanna’ know why??? 3 words.
Winter Storm Toby.
2.) When you read that meme up there you sang the ‘Pina Colada’ song in your head, didn’t you?
3.) If you didn’t then you did just now.
4.) Now the ‘Pina Colada’ song is stuck in your head.
5.) You’re welcome.
SIDE NOTE: I lied. I do have one complaint. With all of this rain comes all of the creepy crawly flying things! Holy hell. My back patio is like a worm morgue with all of the jumping spiders playing leapfrog over those stretched out skinny shriveled wormy bodies!

And these little gnat things?? A couple of warm days and these things come out in droves! Seriously. You can’t go outside without sniffing one of these things up your nostrils! And then comes the coughing and the gagging and the eeewww-ing. It’s just not pretty.
So there. That’s my one complaint about the rain. Still, better than snow.
Rainy days are great for staying inside, drinking pots full of coffee (or tea) and getting crafty.
Let’s see..
SEWING –
I can’t seem to stop making these. They’re super easy and sew up so quickly!
They’re microwavable bowl cozies. They are microwavable safe. Put your soup or your chili in your bowl, put the bowl into one of these very cool cozies, nuke it and pull out your soup/chili by the corners of the cozy and straight into your hands. No more burnt fingers or spills! They’re also great for holding freezing cold bowls of ice cream! My family and friends LOVE these so they also make great gifts!

CRICUT –
Latest cut..
Well, this one isn’t really my last cut but I didn’t take pics of those yet so here’s another shirt I made for my daughter because she is the Queen Bee.
Speaking of my Queen Bee daughter..
She’s pretty crafty herself. This is just one of the many awesome platters she has done for her beautiful kiddos school parties.

CROCHETING –
Currently on the hook..
I have no idea what the stitch is called but it’s super easy and I think I found it on YouTube.
I’m just using up some scrap yarn in shades of pink. NETFLIXING –
Finishing up my binge watching from 2016. Seriously. Apparently, I only got thru 2 seasons TWO years ago. What the hell? Such a great show. I’m on season 3. I’ll be sad to see this show end.
Pulling this post full circle I thought I’d share that “worming” is a thing out here. People dig for worms or use electric prods or probes. The electric prods/probes are much easier. Just stick ’em in the ground and up come the worms. Why do they do this??? They sell them for up to $24.00 a pound depending on the worm. Seriously.
You can read more about it, here.
Okay, well, time to wind it up. I’m trying to post every day and I’ve got about 15 minutes to get this published.

I want to know about your crafting or “must watch shows” or if any of you have wormed or have worms. That would be interesting. I’ve seen dogs scooch their buts across carpet when they’ve had worms. I wonder if that’s what people do.

Leave your answers in the comments, especially if you or someone you know has worms like that guy who had the 5 1/2 foot tapeworm. Soooo disgusting.
You can read about that and see gross pics here.

Okay. I’m out. Be well. Be happy. Be healthy and let your light shine!

  1. Loved seeing what you’re creating! Over the years I’ve sewed, knit, crocheted, cross-stitched, did ceramics…I love crafting too. I’ve heard of those Circuts but was never exactly sure what people did with them – cut paper into funny shapes for scrapbooking???? Lovely to see what else can be done!

    1. Thank you! Crafting is my release otherwise I’d be in rehab or prison by now. 😉 – I use my Cricut for just about everything but scrapbooking! Hahaha. I make t-shirts (I also have a heat press) and sometimes inappropriate wine glasses, coffee mugs, etc. I have yet to do ceramics! I’ve always wanted to SO stinkin’ bad! Maybe I’ll check into some classes around town. 🙂 See! You just continue to inspire WB! Thank you! Happy Friday!

  2. I. Hate. Worms. I’m not a fan of anything creepy crawly. I remember as a kid all the earthworms…up to a foot in lengthy…would come out in the spring rains and I’d have to gingerly pick my way down the driveway to my bus stop. At recess I made sure to hang out close to the teachers to keep those stupid boys from throwing worms at me as they were all over the playground. hahaha Those soup bowl holders are brilliant. Nothing like taking out a nuclear hot bowl from the microwave….yet the soup is still not warm. haha

  3. It’s been raining here too, but none of this worm and bug issues. Not that it doesn’t happen here. I hate it too. Then there are the nasty flies in the summer. I don’t miss them either.

I love all the crafts. I don’t have a crafty bone in my body.

The kitting was a great show. Really great show. We are currently watching Midsomer Murders. It’s English and very good.

I’m loving coming over here every day. Thanks.

    Have a fabulous day! ♥

    1. Aw, thank you, Sandee. I love having you here. 🙂 – Ugh! Flies! I hate those too! The kids hate it when I find a fly in the house. Hahaha. They’re like, “mom, stop, it’s a fly not a bomb!” – I love this show The Killing. Midsomer Murders are great too. I’ve watched EVERY show. 🙂 After I watched it I looked for something similar because I enjoyed it so much but so far, nothing. I’m a big British tv fan. 🙂 – Thank you so much for visiting. ❤

  4. You sure have a lot of things going on. All the worms – I never encountered enough to try to make money with them. Frogs, yes, haha. II can’t imagine shocking worms …
I like your solution to hot bowls!
I have to tell you, I am almost ashamed to say that I have a cricut. (One of the first models) I made a couple birthday cards. It’s packed into my closet. There is simply no room here for me to craft, and of late I am unable to do any crafting. I did have the idea to decorate with it. Sigh.

    1. Eeewww. Frogs are even worse than worms! We had a dog one time that would hunt frogs. It was so gross. – I stole the hot bowl idea off of Pinterest. 😀 They work and I love them. – I don’t have a ton of room either. Crocheting I can do anywhere, anytime. Everything else is a process and takes much planning. Interestingly enough, I don’t use my Cricut for cardmaking or scrapbooking. 🙂 I hope you get to feeling a little crafty soon. Sometimes it’s just life taking it’s unpredictable ups n’ downs.
