Seriously.
Five months folks. That’s how many months are left in this year.
2018.
Who can believe this??!!
Well, here we are.
HAPPY AUGUST EVERYONE!
You could start surprising me by turning off this heat from hell!
Triple digits. Ugh.
Our “cooling trend” of 89 degrees arrives this weekend.
WOO HOO!
That being said, I am hoping, wishing, praying, dancing naked maybe, maybe not for an end to the wildfires, especially in California where people are not only losing their homes but also their lives.
1. Staying cool
2. Errands
3. Crocheting some gifts.
*** I’ve gone as far as I can go on 3 of my blankets because I ran out of certain colors of yarns and none of my go-to yarn stores, Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, Joann’s nor the freak store Walmart had any of the colors I needed.
The search will continue this weekend…
Aaaanddd nobody cares about my yarn struggle.
I think I might be able to squeeze at least one hat out of this yarn.
I used this type of yarn, not the same colors, once and only once for a blanket I made “Miranda” last year.
Never again.
Super challenging to crochet with again nobody cares about my yarn struggle so I tend to stick to smaller projects now when using this type of yarn.
4. Cricuting.
***LOTS of projects to get printed and cut!
5. Christmas cross stitch.
6. Organize, organize, organize!!!
I really dig this guy.
What are all of you up to?
Anything thrilling and spine-chilling to report??
If you’ve got some cooler temps, rain or snow you could send some out this way!
MIMI’S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY –
See? I’m nice like that.
I was sick for a week with an abscess in my mouth. Horrible week. I’m fine now and getting ready for a cruise to Benicia. It’s halfway to the bay. It will be a fun weekend.
Yes, the year is over half over. I agree with you about the heat and we’re going to cool down here too. I’m ready for that.
Have a fabulous day, my friend. ♥

I was praying for you Sandee and hoping you were healing and feeling better. Getting ready for a cruise sounds like you’re much better! Yay you! Your weekend sounds like a blast. I have zero plans at the moment because we have no idea what the weather is going to do from one day to the next. It’s hot and it’s smoky and sunburn and smoke inhalation is just not my idea of the ideal weekend. I do need some yarn tho so I may brave the elements. 😀 Have so much fun this weekend. You deserve it!

That’s a pretty vicious heat wave! Hope you get a bit of a cooling trend. We have similar temps here, but not quite as bad. Yes, those fires are terrible and heartbreaking. 😦 I’m in awe of anyone who can create things with their hands, cuz I’m pretty useless in that area. You’ve been blessed with great talents, Mimi! Organizing stuff is what I’m all about at the moment; getting ready for our big trip in Sept. and trying to get the house in order before we leave. Lots of clutter accumulated in 22 years of living here! Thanks for reading and sharing my “Gravity” post.

Omgosh. So excited for your trip! I wouldn’t know where to begin preparing for a trip like that! I am looking forward to the pics tho. Have you ever put your photography in books? They would make awesome “coffee table books.” Just a really nice hard backed book on display. You know. One of those books that you use the edge of the page to turn the page so you don’t get any fingerprints on the pages. 🙂 Sounds weird I know but my parents had a lot of those books. Haha. – Thank you for your compliments on my “talents.” If indeed I do have any they are truly God-given or learned from my parents and grandparents, so to them goes all the glory. 🙂 – Omgosh. Your Gravity post is HILARIOUS! I loved it so much. – Here’s to staying cool all over the globe!

We are getting pretty excited about the trip ourselves, now that everything is finalized. 😀 I actually have considered making coffee table travel books and hope to find the time for that, one day. In the meantime, I’m all stocked up on camera batteries and memory cards. The Gravity song was fun to write and I’m thrilled you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for that. 🙂 Have a great week!

Thank you for your interest in my crochet projects Dora. I’m afraid I bore everyone to tears around me with all of the projects going on. I’d like to see the hot pads you’re making. I made one a while back just to see if I would like it and I do very much so and they work. I need to make more of those too. Thanks for stopping by.
