There’s a line from one of my favorite songs of all time (that’s actually a graduation speech) ‘Everybody’s Free to Wear Sunscreen’ that says “The real troubles in life are apt to be things that never crossed your mind . . . The kind that blindside you at 4 pm on some idle Tuesday . . .”
Years ago a friend used to take her kids to Blockbuster every weekend and when they finished watching their chosen movies, would rewind them and watch the whole thing again backwards, until I showed them that stopping the tape first, then rewinding made the rewind much faster.
I don’t miss Blockbuster and having to rush out and return movies then try to choose something to watch after everyone else had taken the best movies. Now I have my own movie collection.
Hahahahaha. That’s funny that they watched the whole thing backward. And for the reasons you didn’t like Blockbuster I loved it. It was the thrill of the movie hunt! 😀
Gosh yes, good old Blockbuster. It was fun wandering around there choosing movies. Seems like a very long time ago though. And we thought the apocalyptic movies were far fetched. And now we are living in a disaster movie of our very own. Someone needs to shoot the director.
It does seem so long ago but our neighborhood Blockbuster is clear in my mind. It seemed like every rainy night was a trip to Blockbuster. Now I feel like we can’t wander around anywhere.
That’s a blast from the past. Made me laugh out loud.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Love you. ♥

Man, I miss Blockbuster tho. They need to bring it back and at least a couple of drive in movies. 🙂
