THANKFUL THURSDAY – Top 5

Today I am thankful for the rain! We finally got some! When we first moved here people told us we’d never get any rain, we’d never get any snow. Well, I’m here to tell you, it started raining last night and it’s been raining all day and I LOVE it!!! I hope it’s a sign that snow will be here too! I’m ready for a snowmageddon!!!

Today I am thankful for the Amazon truck. That’s all. Lol

Today I am thankful for modern medicine beyond Ibuprofen and Tylenol. Has anyboy noticed that the doctors don’t prescribe pain meds anymore. My son got his gallbladder out and was in soooo much pain. His doctor told him to take Ibuprofen and rest. I asked my son, “Is your doctor Robert fucking Kennedy Jr.???” Good Lord… Eventually, his doc got him in and gave him some actual pain meds, 3 pills and that’s fine but holy shit it’s like you’re asking for a fucking kidney.

Today I am thankful for pretzels. I don’t know why. They’re good to munch on. I’m munching on them now. I like the skinny sticks. Do you like pretzels?

And last but not least, today I am thankful that I live nowhere near this fucking gross weirdo.

A serial BUTT SNIFFER arrested for the 3RD time! Are you fucking kidding me?? If that guy ever came sniffing around my ass I’d donkey kick him in the face and make sure he got a trip to the hospital. And by hospital, I mean the nuthut, but who knows, he’s been arrested for this THREE times!!! The cops are probably done with him. They’re like, we’ve got real crimes to solve, toss this butt sniffer over to Captn Benson. Lol.

Well, I’m finishing up earlier tonight. I get so busy during the day. I’m telling you. This is my time to come alive and I love it SO much. How was all of your Thursdays?? Omgosh. The weather that was going on! I had to check in with my kids. Michigan was whippin, man. They’re all safe, thank goodness and their power didn’t go out. Did any of you get some wild weather and tornado warnings?? Please keep safe, everyone.

WHAT’S UP WEDNESDAY

Currently I’m sitting here waiting for news about our little pup, Bo. He was outside in the backyard and came in the house limping and crying, so off to the vet he went! I hope it’s just a thorn in his paw and not something more serious like a broken ankle from playing on the stairs of the deck. As Tom Petty sang, “The waiting is the hardest part.

GREAT NEWS ON BO! No broken bones, but the vet and the nurses did call him a Drama King. Lol.

And this, we’re calling our…

$350 stinger! Yep, Bo got stung by a bee! Good Lord. The vet took him back and checked his bones and joints first, and looking him over, she found the source of his pain. She pulled the stinger out and set Bo down, and he was standing and walking just fine, and Bo even danced for her and jumped up on the vet bed to play! He was fine as wine. He ran down the hall wagging his tail happy as could be, but as soon as he saw his “Mom and Dad” (my son and DIL), he stopped dead in his tracks, pulled his hurt leg up, and started limping to them! The vet and nurses couldn’t believe it. They said they’ve never had a dog like our Bo in there before. He is such a little stinker. I swear he’s part human. He loves walking straight up on his hind legs. It’s wild! He’s wild!

Well, friends, I need to get this posted and head to bed. I hope you’ve all had a wonderful day, with zero problems with your fur babies. I’ll probably write more later. Who knows, but if there’s anything thrilling and spine-chilling happening, please tell me about them in the comments.

SEPTEMBER, you’re finally here.

While the fires rage on and the temps are finally getting into the 80s and 70s, September is a soft landing space. September is the promise of wonderful days ahead. Cooler temps, hopefully some rain, beautiful colors, and endless days of cuddling and snuggling – whatever that means to you. To me, that means I’ll be snuggling in with my pup, a good book, and a cup of tea. (My cuddling is private but he’s very handsome.)

I was MIA for a while, and the only thing I brought back with me was sadness and tears and a whole lot of the funniest memories of my life, and it’s laughing so hard that you pee a little that gets you through. Laughter is life’s healing balm.

This I know for sure.

Trust me. We do not have time.

Side Note – Make sure the person who holds the power of attorney puts his mom before a fishing trip with his buddies. (That kid has been a jackass since birth.)

So, here I am, and I hope at least some of you are still with me. I hope you’re all doing great and are happy as can be and are healthy as can be too! That’s the big one!
Life gets crazy sometimes; things happen out of the blue and knock you on your ass. Whatta ya gonna do? You get up and grab your crochet and crochet the hell outta all those unfinished projects! At least that’s what I do. On my bed, watching The Closer.

Fall has finally arrived and brought me back to life. Summer is a bummer for me. I like fall and winter; sometimes spring, but never, ever summer.
