BOING!!!

HAPPY SPRING!!!!Woo hoo! Finally! I thought this day would never come! Criminey! We’ve had some crazy weather out here. Our winter was more like spring and it was only a couple of weeks ago that we had snow! Today, for the moment, it’s sunshine all the way and temps that don’t require heavy coats, scarves, mittens or boots!
THAT makes me happy!
Speaking of happy. Did you know??

Now for something not so happy.
My first and only attempt at some kind of rubbery,
suck-u-lent houseplant. Ugh.
I’m like the Ron Popeil of houseplants. I like plants I can water once a week and move on.
I don’t like having to remember when I watered, how much did I water, did I water too much???
So, here’s the disastrous result…
Despite the pleading from the pot itself, the deed was done.
I am a plant murderer.
True story.
I’ve been away almost a whole month! Since I gave up Facebook and Instagram for Lent I really haven’t been socially networking. I jump on Twitter to get a feel of what’s going on. Lots of political stuff that quite honestly, I’ve lost track of. I don’t know what to read or who to believe anymore, so I just stay away from all of it and do my own thing. So much less stressful that way.

I’ve been doing lots of crafting. I’ll post pics in another post. Believe it or not, I am writing posts ahead of time. Go me! I know I’m missing out on a ton of stuff around here and honestly, it almost feels like I gave up being online for Lent too! I didn’t, I’ve just been super busy. Lame but the truth.

I hope everyone is happy and well and I reealllly hope none of you are getting hit with all of that snow back east! Doesn’t sound much like spring, does it? Fingers, eyes, and toes all crossed that this is the last storm of the season for them. Sunshine and warm temps just make everything so much better!
Until next time…

  1. I did a happy dance when I saw you had a new post. I did miss you.

We’re still having winter here. It’s cold and it’s raining…again. Oh well, it’s still spring and I’m good with that. Now if I can just get rid of my nasty sinus infection I’ll be happy.

I have a green thumb and only have one plant. i used to have a house full of them and they would tell me when they needed water. i kid you not.

    Have a fabulous day. ♥

    1. Yay! 🙂 – I have been working on some posts so I should have more to come. I can’t believe you’re having winter there. Well, your winter is probably our spring. We’ve had rain too and this weekend we’re supposed to be getting a rain./snow mix. We’ve been lucky. Every time they call for snow it goes to the mountains and not the valley. I used to have a lot of plants too but now I’m down to 3 and I have absolutely no luck with anything in the rubber family. I think I even killed a cactus once! I’ve always wanted to try a Christmas cactus because they’re so beautiful in bloom but I’m pretty sure I’d kill it. Bleh. I guess I’ll stick with my viney plants. 🙂 It’s good to be missed. Thank you.

      1. It’s cold and wet and there is more to come. I’m tired of the cold. I also have a sinus infections. Oh the joy. Some folks can do plants and others can’t. I know you’ll roll with it. Most of the time it’s one of two things, over watering or no water. Either way. Yes, I missed you. You’re welcome. 🙂

      2. I hope that sinus infection goes away soon. Those really suck and I don’t think crappy weather helps at all. I like the plants that start to droop a bit and then I know it’s time to water. Hahahaha. I am definitely an over-waterer of any of those plants with the thick leaves, except, amazingly enough, aloe vera plants. I can grow those! I might try one of those itsy bitsy succulents. Maybe if I can keep it alive I’ll move on to a bigger one. 🙂

    1. Hahaha. Funny you should say that. I was just telling a friend that next year I’m giving up chocolate for Lent! Giving up Facebook and Instagram has been a real challenge. – And, I totally get what you mean about feeling sad after being on FB. I usually have to step back for a few days especially after school shootings or highly charged political crap. It’s emotionally draining at times.

  2. I would love it if we could finally get a spring instead of a season’s worth of snow and storms being dumped into the entire month of March! I’ve missed you on FB! Cant wait till you come back!

    1. No kidding! I can’t believe this month!! And I saw that #5 storm might be heading that way? Holy smokes! Eventually all of that snow is going to have to melt off somewhere! Better tell Noah/Russell to start building his boat! 😊 I’ve missed you too! And trust me. I’m counting the days. Next year, chocolate!
