THANKFUL THURSDAY – LATE NIGHT EDITION

Jumping on the thankful bandwagon of my friend Sandee over at ‘Comedy Plus.’
The Thankful Thursday Blog Hop is hosted by another blogger, Brian over at ‘Brian’s Home.’
This is super simple and a nice break in the day, just list some things that you’re thankful for.
Easy peasy.
When you’re done link up at ‘The Thankful Thursday Blog Hop‘ over at ‘Brian’s Home.’
1. – I’m thankful for great doctors!
***Unfortunately, my sister’s tumor surgery cannot be done in Idaho but we had a great almost surgeon here who referred us to a medical team in Utah.

2. – I’m thankful for great news!
***The great news is that the cancer doesn’t appear to have spread into any other organs.
The not so great news is that it has spread further into her stomach than the scans first showed so they will be removing her entire stomach.
3. – I’m thankful for modern medicine!
***Altho it sounds daunting and the medical procedures a bit extreme stage 2 stomach cancer is curable and this procedure has worked countless times and my sister is a great candidate for this surgery.

SO much to be thankful for.

What are YOU thankful for today?
MIMI’S QUOTE FOR THE DAY –

5

Seriously.
Five months folks. That’s how many months are left in this year.
2018.
Who can believe this??!!
Well, here we are.
HAPPY AUGUST EVERYONE!
You could start surprising me by turning off this heat from hell!
Triple digits. Ugh.
Our “cooling trend” of 89 degrees arrives this weekend.
WOO HOO!

That being said, I am hoping, wishing, praying, dancing naked maybe, maybe not for an end to the wildfires, especially in California where people are not only losing their homes but also their lives.
1. Staying cool
2. Errands
3. Crocheting some gifts.
*** I’ve gone as far as I can go on 3 of my blankets because I ran out of certain colors of yarns and none of my go-to yarn stores, Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, Joann’s nor the freak store Walmart had any of the colors I needed.
The search will continue this weekend…
Aaaanddd nobody cares about my yarn struggle.

I think I might be able to squeeze at least one hat out of this yarn.
I used this type of yarn, not the same colors, once and only once for a blanket I made “Miranda” last year.
Never again.
Super challenging to crochet with again nobody cares about my yarn struggle so I tend to stick to smaller projects now when using this type of yarn.
4. Cricuting.
***LOTS of projects to get printed and cut!
5. Christmas cross stitch.
6. Organize, organize, organize!!!
I really dig this guy.
What are all of you up to?
Anything thrilling and spine-chilling to report??
If you’ve got some cooler temps, rain or snow you could send some out this way!
MIMI’S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY –
See? I’m nice like that.
