2020 – SEPTEMBER 26 – 30 – BIRTHDAY WEEK & SO LONG SEPTEMBER!

PROMPTS 26 – 30

– SATURDAY –
26.) What have you learned today?
*****Actually, it was a refresher of something I learned a loooong time ago.
“Measure twice, cut once.” – Totally screwed up the measurements on a gift I’m working on BUT, thankfully, I fixed it. I think…

– SUNDAY –
27.) The best restaurant in your town.
*****Hhhmm. I like Tocanos (Brazillian Grill) for their mango fish and their Brazillian grill atmosphere. ($$$)
Butttttttt…
I like Delsa’s Ice Cream Parlour for the every day “grab a bite” place to eat. It’s been around forever and started out as a farmhouse on an
80-acre dairy farm owned by a local family that I believe has since sold it. No matter, it’s still a great place with that mom n’ pop feel, yummy food, and of course, a bazillion and one flavors of ice cream! ($)
– MONDAY –
28.) One thing you wish you could do.
*****Be in two places at once.

– TUESDAY –
29.) Your best quality.
*****I can make people laugh.
– WEDNESDAY –
30.) One thing you say you think, but really don’t.
*****I think people are assholes.
For 99.9% of the people on this planet that is absolutely not true.

SIDE NOTE: It’s my little sister’s birthday today!!! So much of my life I wouldn’t have gotten thru if not for her. She is kind and caring, intelligent, incredibly sarcastic and the funniest person I have ever met or ever will meet.
After my kids and grandkids, she is the person I love most in this world.
(She will hate that I said that. She’s not that huggy, warm fuzzy
kinda’ person like me.)
Happy Birthday, muh, muh, muh, my Sharona!

So, that’s a wrap, folks! So long September, hello October!
For a year that was draggin’ ass, it sure picked up some speed!

  1. I just mentioned that wise saying about measuring the other day. 🙂 Thank you for stopping by my silly blog with that cool story about your parents cross breeding roses. Very cool.

I hope your sister has a great birthday. And now I want to visit El Meson, our local South American eatery. Heh… Take care!

    1. It’s a saying to live by especially if you sew and craft like I do! – And of course, you’re so welcome. I don’t know how I ended up on your NOT silly blog but I’m happy I did and I’ll be back. – My sister had a great birthday, thank you. At home with the hubs and some authentic Mexican food. 🙂

    1. Omgosh. The ice cream at Delsa’s is phenomenal. The place was started in 1922 and the farmer’s wife just started serving up ice cream to the local kids and boom, here we are. I think they still use her ice cream recipe. 🙂 It’s a great place. You’d love it. – Thank you for the birthday wishes for my sis. I will pass them along. 🙂 – Love you Sandee. ❤

  3. We honestly don’t have any great restaurants in town, even though many would disagree with me. I’m not even impressed with the ice cream spot and there are those that rave about it. Tastes like Breyers to me! Lol!

I think making people laugh is my best quality too. Maybe that’s why we get along?

    1. Aw, that’s too bad there aren’t any great eateries there. Maybe after the pandemic, some new places will be opening. 🙂 – Yessss! Making people laugh is a great quality to have! Us comedians need to stick together. 🙂

  4. I like the idea of reliving the good parts and not chaning things. If I knew then what I know now… whew!
    LOve this. and you.

    1. I agree. I wouldn’t change a thing. I can’t imagine my life without my kids and grandkids… But I would like to go back and spend some more time with them as babies and with my parents… Sigh. – Love you too. ❤

  5. That Brazillian Grill with the mango fish sounds yummy, and so does the ice cream parlour. I love the quote about laugher being the sound of the soul dancing. (And you are great at making people laugh and smile!). 🙂 Happy Birthday to your little sister!

The past month has been rather depressing for me (the sudden deaths of my friend and my cousin’s wife and worry about family in CA during the fires), and I haven’t felt like doing much of anything. So I welcome a new month and I like early fall with the leaves changing colors. About going back in time, there are definitely some things I’d change and all of it revolves around how I never got to be a mother. I hope you have an awesome week! ❤
