Seriously.
I don’t know. Maybe it’s because I saw these movies back in high school when they first came out. Or maybe it’s because there are so many sequel/prequels to them now that just thinking about them all makes my head want to explode.
Once upon a time when a movie was made that was it. One story. One hero. One villain. One group of characters. One planet. The end. Ya’ know where you had continuing story lines? ON T.V. That’s why they’re called a television seeerrrriiieeeeeeees. Multiple shows, a series of shows. Week after week after week.
Or hour after hour after hour if you’re a Netflix whore like me.My youngest son talks to me about these movies daily and it’s like he’s speaking a foreign language. He’s seen the new one three times already and now he has to see it a fourth time in IMAX!
I know the basic players.
Hans Solo, Chewy, Yoda, Darth Vader, Obi-Wan-Kenobi, CP30, R2D2, some storm troopers, Ewoks and of course, Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker.
That’s it, that’s all.
Don’t ask me what the story line is because I’m pretty sure I only went to see those movies back in high school because some hot guy asked me to.
Christmas day we had plans to just kick back, eat some great food and watch some movies.
I think my son confused Christ’s birthday with Satan’s…
Pretty sure these are the movies they play in hell..
So fess up. How many of you are Star Wars Whores??
Raise your hand. It’s okay.
Some of my best friends are whores Star Wars Whores.
Thank you Princess Leia. I think you look fabulous!
You must tell no one, but I’ve not seen one. Not a single Star Wars episode, since I agree it’s not movies, it’s a series of episodes. Zero interest to me on any level ever. Because of Halloween and the Internet, I am also familiar with the list of characters you shared, otherwise, not a clue nor a single brain cell being used on Star Wars nor George Lucas.

Hi Jo – I’ll promise too, if you do the same. I haven’t watched a single one of them, nor can I imagine watching Harry Potter either! 😉

Well, you’re not missing much in my opinion Corinne. And as for Harry Potter, I’m still waiting for the hype to die down.. Hahahaha.

I totally get it and I don’t blame you one bit. My only interest is that it’s my son’s interest. Other than that. Omgosh. I could think of a million other things I’d rather fill my head with and not a one of ’em have to do with outer space…

Well, I’m a geek…I admit it!
Star Wars, Star Trek, Dr. Who, Firefly, Hellboy, X-men, Farscape, Babylon 5 you name it!!! Are they my end all, be all?
No…are they a pleasant diversion from being a grown-up? You Bet!!! Have I seen the latest Star Wars? No, but I plan to…in IMAX 3D no less. But I’m also a Bond nut, Western nut, Assassin nut, Spy nut…ok let’s face it, maybe I’m JUST a nut!!! Jury’s still out… 🙂

I know. Being a military brat my parents shared the fine European food and drink, and us kids were done for. Cheese too! Yes.. I haven’t found a cheese sharp enough here, no matter where I look!

Not a Star Wars whore – I’ve never seen any of them, but I am a Netflix whore, for sure. 🙂
Great quote by Carrie Fisher and I think she looks fabulous, too!

I love my Netflix Debbie, mainly because I’m a jew and I refuse to pay $200 a month for 3/4 of t.v. viewing that I won’t even watch. And I love no commercials. 🙂

Karen, I totally agree with you on too many sequels and prequels! I haven’t jumped at the chance to see the new Star Wars yet. I saw the original back in the day and liked it but I’ve always been a bigger fan of Star Trek than Star Wars. I will probably eventually see the new Star Wars but I am in no hurry. So no Star Wars whore LOL! Love that quote by Carrie Fisher!! So is so right, and she looks fabulous!

I enjoyed the movies that came out in 77, 80 and 83, but I have zero interest in the prequels. However, I knew, even back in the early 80s, that Star Wars was a 9 part series. George Lucas started with 4,5 and 6. I am only semi interested in the new one. I already know what happens at the end anyway so am less enthused. The movie I’m looking forward to the most is ‘Secret Life of Pets’ next summer. My cousin is a Star Wars Whore though. On 12/16 she attended a marathon at a theatre in Baltimore that started at 1 AM with the first movie and concluded that night with the new movie. She was up almost 40 straight since she worked the day of the movie and didn’t nap b/f going to the theatre.

Holy crap JoJo! I’d say your cousin was a Star Wars Queen! Kudos to her for her faithful fandomness. (I made that word up.) The originals were it for me too but again, then, as now, I know nothing of the story line. Didn’t care then, don’t care now, other than engaging in chats with my boy. I’ve never heard of the ‘Secret Life of Pets.’ Is that like ‘The Secret Life of Bees??” I’ll have to Google it.

The best thing about Spawn being a pain in the arse all week? I get to renege on our going to see Star Wars deal. I’m a huge sci-fi ho but Star Wars isn’t a part of my geekiness. Apart from the originals which I liked, I’d rather lick a hobo’s armpit then sit through the new movie.

Oh.. That’s a great bargaining chip.. And yeah. I don’t mind the originals but these movies going all the way into the 2020 years.. Just let me swing from the rafters now..

My daughter’s boyfriend is into Star Wars so she and I watched it together before she watched it with him. We laughed our fool heads off. All I really got from it was that R2D2 is a cool bad ass. I like that little droid!

Omg.. I don’t like the aliens we’ve got roaming our planet! Guess how much I like the ones in the movies or t.v.????

I’ve never seen a Star Wars movie; I’m a Trekkie. But, I have to admit my son’s enthusiasm and my husband’s explaining the previous movies to him is so damn cute I kind of want to see it now, but I can’t because I need to see them in the proper order, which I seem to be unable to do unless I buy them, so there ya go.

I am SO like that with any and all sequel/prequel movies. I have to see them aaaalllll in order before I can move on to the latest and greatest. One night my oldest son and I sat down and watched all of the Bourne movies, back to back to back! Loved ’em all! I too am more of a Trekkie. Star Trek is cool. Thanks for stopping by!

Well, I am not a Star Wars whore but I am definitely a chocolate and Netflix whore. I also think that I may be becoming a blogging whore but I can’t exactly say for sure. I may even be a donut whore but that is a whole other ball game. Perhaps you could write a post sometime about whoring guidelines for those of wondering if we are or are not certain types of whores. Again, thanks for the chuckle!
