#20 – This Summer…

Summertime goals –
These memories may or may not include homicide.
How was everyone’s Memorial Day weekend?
I’ll post about my weekend when I’m done decompressing and processing. I’m either living in the ‘Twilight Zone’ or someone has dug up Allen Funt and he’s got me on ‘Candid Camera!’
Not even kidding.
I will say it was a learning weekend for me.

On friendship –
This is the friend you want.
This is the friend I have.
And I am beyond grateful.
We would be such kick-ass ghost friends! We would have such a blast!
Omgosh.. Who would we scare the shit out of first???
The list is endless.

And not only my ghost pal but also her hubs. You won’t find better people.
I also learned that these old sayings are absolutely true.
“No good deed goes unpunished.”
“You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink.”
And this…

Nope, they’re not…
I hope your weekend was spectacular and that your week thus far is running along smoothly, if not as planned.
We’ve got rain in the forecast. Some shopping to be done. A trip to the aquarium and most definitely some crocheting.

I don’t know about where you live but summer has arrived in Boise, Idaho and it looks to be a scorcher. Fortunately, we had an abundance of snow this past winter and plenty of rain lately so, fingers, eyes, and toes all crossed that we won’t have any wildfires this year!
MY $0.02 –
I’m keeping politics off of my personal Facebook page.
I may keep it off of my blog. Depends on what’s happening and how strongly I feel about it.
My blog. My rules.

  1. We had a nice quiet weekend. We stayed home and avoided all the idiots out on the water. They all show up on Memorial day weekend and it’s frightening. We had a most wonderful weekend. Never thought about homicide once.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

  2. I’m happy you stayed away from the idiots. The kids had to work and I like all of the idiots in this town headed to the mountains where the thought of homicide did not cross my mind but punching somebody in the head, did… That’s a whole other blog post and when you read it, you’ll get it.

  3. It was quiet here too cause the weather was really rainy. Tons of traffic though. We just stayed on our side of the bridge, close to home.

  4. Karen, those are all excellent quotes. As far as my holiday weekend…well, I really like doing things but I have a spouse who doesn’t and sometimes I just miss fun. It is what it is. We’ve had a lot of rain here, it seems all the April showers came in May. I try to keep politics off my Facebook page too except for something I might post now and then. I’m with you on that. Hope your weekend will be sunny and relaxing. 🙂

    1. Thank you JLil and I totally get the spouse not wanting to go and do. I experienced that myself and as a result ended up doing a lot of things alone, which is okay too sometimes. – We had some rain too but now the temps are in the 90’s. I hope it rains again soon because I do not want to see, hear or smell any wildfires this year! – As for no politics on my FB, there’s just really no point. Not to mention I’m so fed up with all of it. – I plan on working on a lot of crafts this weekend because the temps will be too high to do much else but sit in the AC. 🙂 I hope you have a great weekend JLil and I really wish you’d get back to blogging. 🙂
