Here’s a tip:
If you see an older couple having trouble with a trailer filled with firewood and the woman has a cast on her arm and you offer them help, keep in mind they may not share your same sense of humor.
For instance when the man asks you if you’re sure you can lift some firewood and you answer…
“Well, of course, I can. I’m a Detroit girl. I’m used to lifting heavy things. Usually dead bodies but ya’ know firewood, dead bodies, same thing.”
ZERO sense of humor with this couple and a great big,
NO THANK YOU on the offer of help.
Seriously.
In the news:
I truly believe that there are more good people in this world than bad. Unfortunately, it usually takes something catastrophic such as Hurricane Harvey to bring that collective goodness to light. I hope that none of you or your loved ones were/are in harm’s way. Sadly, it’s long from being over… And I will continue to pray for all of those affected by this wicked storm.
I’ve added a prayer request tab up above my posts. If you need to gather some prayer warriors just click on the tab and follow the directions. It’s anonymous unless you choose to put your name in. It’s super easy and I hope that you will utilize it because honestly, I LOVE to pray and praying for others is one of my favorite things to do!
I’ve finally accepted that my dog sets my bedtime. My dog Luci will sit and stare holes into my skull until I get up and say those magic words, “Let’s go night night.” Omgosh. I have so much to do and my fuzzy little girl is cutting my days short!
Okay, onto reading some amazing blogs!
I know about people with no sense of humor. How odd that I meet them when I'm feeling flip. Dead bodies? Plural?
Tragedies are piling up. Scary. Feels like at any time we will see the 4 Horsemen for real.
For the life of me, I can't remember which of of the dogs used to bark and get pushy about time for bed. Maybe it will come to me. Yes, they tell you when to get up and when to go to bed. We are their slaves.
Yep, everything will turn out fine – or it will be a charming wedding blooper that you will laugh about later.

I would have laughed if you told me about the dead bodies. I might have taken you seriously, but I would have laughed. It's just the way I roll.
We're in a heat wave and it will be over sometime next week. Hotter than Hades. I'm tired of it too. It's going to be 102 today, 108 on Friday and 109 on Saturday. No boating this weekend.
Have a fabulous day, my friend. ☺

I know, Sharon! These are scary times we're living in. I think about the world I may be leaving to my grandchildren and then I think, what if there is no world left to leave them.. I'm keeping my eye on N. Korea. They seem to be the ones stirring the pot at the moment. – And you're right. We are slaves to our pups but I don't mind too much. Luci's a good girl and she sleeps in, so bonus! 😀 – Oh, I hope the wedding goes smoothly, altho a blooper wedding would be funny. 🙂 – And yes, Sharon, dead bodies, plural. Hahahaha. 🙂

Omgosh. I know Joanne! I keep saving all of these hippie pics for you! Hahaha. Keep an eye on my FB fan page. You'll see the posts with you in mind. 🙂 – Man. I thought we were out of the heat but nope. This week all near 100 or over. I cannot wait for cool temps and I would love some rain.

Right??? And it's not like we were in a desolate area. We were in the parking lot of a grocery store when I watched as their trailer just snapped and I was over there in a hot second to help. Who knew I'd scare them off. Oh well. I tried. – Omgosh, the heat Sandee.. Doesn't it feel like it's never ending?? And people don't know but you seriously bake in that heat if you have to be out in it. I am so ready for fall..
