MOODY MONDAY

Frosty rooftops, snowy ground, and the sun trying to poke thru.

Silence and it’s wonderful.

2022 is a healthy year for all of us. Physically, mentally and spiritually.

This headline is a big fat lie!
Michelle Kwan Gave Birth To Her First Baby & We’re Obsessed With Her Name
Seriously? Okay, just so you don’t have to actually click on the link, the baby’s name is Kalista Belle.
—> WOW MICHELLE! Really??? That’s so original! I’m so fucking obsessed! <— <Insert eye roll here.>

It’s actually the audiobook and so far it’s really good.
Q & A – Do you think listening to a book counts as reading one?
I struggled with this for a long time. I even judged others – I know! Not Mimi, right??? – I totally doubted their reading comprehension and mentally lowered their IQ’s
not really, okay maybe based solely on the fact that they chose to listen instead of picking up a real book and reading it the old-fashioned way. Mimi, you’re such a bitch.

—> I was wrong of course. <—
(Take a screenshot, you won’t see that admission often.)

And now I really like listening to audiobooks. Not all the time because I still prefer a book in my hand but there is a time and place for audiobooks.
What say ye’??????
Is listening to a book the same as physically holding and reading one?

I did watch the movie The Tender Bar on Amazon. (Subscription)
I reeeaalllly liked it and I do recommend it. It’s definitely a feel-good movie and the cast and characters are great. I have to say, the actors brought their A-game to this movie.

I watched season 1 of Under The Vines on AcornTV. (Subscription)
It’s a really cute show and I can’t wait to see season 2.

I’m currently watching My Life Is Murder, also on AcornTV. I’ve just started season 2 of this show.
It stars Lucy Lawless a.k.a Xena: Warrior Princess. If you’re old enough, you may remember her like this.
Yeah, she doesn’t look much like that anymore but I think she’s still just as beautiful.

I recommend watching this show too. Nothing intense. No blood and gore. More like the old-fashioned Columbo Mysteries.

A warm n’ cozy gray n’ pink long flannel nightgown which I’ll remove before going to bed because my pajamas and sheets fight in the night and I don’t like being strangled.
Not that you asked…

This beautiful teacup and saucer that I got from my daughter-in-law and the wonderful tea that I got from my other daughter-in-law.
The tea is so yummy and with the teacup set, it just makes my tea time very special and I love it. Soooo relaxing.

Space for all things I will be creating! Ha!

Whew! Okay, late post. Long post! Criminey! It’s like I think all you have to do all day/night is read my drivel! Or skim my drivel! Whichever it is, I’m just happy you’re here!

My whole weekend was all about stuff – organizing it, sorting it, tossing it, or putting it in the Good Will box! My goal is by the end of January to have gotten my shit in order so I can get on with my next goal which is creating more stuff to sort thru next year. I know. Genius!

How was your weekend? Anything thrilling and spine-chilling happening?? Altho for some of you, chilled spines is exactly what you’re getting with that artic air back east!
Bbbrrr. Wrap yourself in a blanket but bare your soul in the comments! I wanna’ know what’s happenin’! I’m nosey like that. You all know.

#19 – FLYING HIGH…

On ‘Flying Pie Pizza!’
Here in Idaho, we have a pizza chain called ‘Flying Pie Pizza.’
It was featured on ‘Man Vs. Food.’
Start the video at 7:19 to see the amazingness that is ‘Flying Pie Pizza.’

One of the super cool things about ‘Flying Pie Pizza‘ aside from their pizza, is that they do a daily pizza giveaway called, “It’s Your Day!” You can click on the link to learn all about it but basically, it’s this.
They post a random name on their sign out front and if it’s your name you get to go in between 2-4pm or 8-10pm and make yourself a 10″ personal pizza for FREE.
Pretty cool, huh?
Well, guess what?? The other day my son’s name was on the sign and he got to go make himself a free pizza!
How cool is that?
Handsome son. Delicious pizza. FREE pizza!
Thank you ‘Flying Pie Pizza!’
IN OTHER NEWS –
We are soooo close to being done with repair work! The painting got done today and the ceiling fan/light goes back up in the morning. Yay!!!!
I unplugged for most of last weekend and it was so relaxing. No phone. No computer. I divided my time between the sun, books, crocheting and ‘Rizzoli & Isles,’ my current Netflix binge. It was soooo nice.

This week, however, has already started out in a whirlwind and life, in general, doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon, and that’s okay. Full speed ahead is a good speed as long as I get a moment or two or three or four or five to hit the trails and read a book, I’m good.
What’s happening in your week ahead? Anything thrilling and spine chilling to report??
Who’s got gardens going on? How are they doing? We’ve had such wonky weather here. Late snow and late frosts it really just threw the whole planting season off.
Any plans for Memorial weekend???

BOOKS, SNOW N’ ICE, SUN N’ SAND – Pick Yer Poison

Some days the better question would be, “What aren’t you reading today?!” Yesterday, however, there was no time for reading or blogging, apparently. It’s that time of year folks and I am knee deep in all things Christmas so today is a double post covering yesterday and today. Which, I’m sure is considered “cheating” is some realm of the blogging world but hey, it’s my blog. I can double post if I want!

Lately, my typical reading day has been starting out like this.

Afternoon light reading has been this.
I love Danielle Steel and one day I hope I can say that I’ve read all of her books.

I round out the evening with this.
I do start and end my days with reading the Bible. All books in between are subject to change.

Today’s post?
I’m gonna’ have to go with snow bunny on this one because I do so love my snow and I will always love my snow. That being said, because I’m getting flippin’ old, I have been toying with the idea of spending Christmas some place warm. I’m not ready for the 6/6 split of 6 months in the north, 6 months in the south but a lit’l warm up would be nice.

What about you? What are you reading? And where would you prefer to be reading it? Curled up next to a cosy fire with the snow softly falling outside. Or, lounging on the beach in dental floss listening to the ocean waves??
