Today was all about running errands in this gawd awful heat and then coming back home to park on the street while the asphalt sealing gets done in our parking lot and spaces. Can I just tell you how smelly it is out there? And that smell on top of the heat, on top of having to walk around that crap to get into our apartment.
Just. Shoot me.
On the plus side of this ridiculously hot n’ stinky situation. I got myself a new phone today. The Galaxy S8. I love it. I’m still figuring it out but I absolutely LOVE it. My old phone had gotten into the habit of randomly shutting itself off and when it came time to take a pic my screen was black. So weird but it was time.

I have to say this has been a day of good news all around.
My son got some great news from his doc. A HUGE blessing. And my soon-to-be daughter-in-law just found out at least one of her sisters will make it to the wedding

It’s been a long day but a fun day which ended on the disc golfing course and my son found a bonus disc in the woods. Score. Disc golfing really is a “finders keepers, losers weepers” sort of game.

I know it’s a pod from some kind of tree but the only trees we have around us are pine trees. I have no idea where it came from but it was right next to the patio this morning.
Well, it’s another early day tomorrow but not quite so many errands AND we’ll get to park back in our spaces! Yay!
I hope you’ve all had a great day. It’s Thursday. Anybody have any weekend plans?? From now until the wedding my life will be all about cleaning and prepping. Hopefully, I’ll be able to fit some crocheting into the mix. All work and no play drives this girl crazy!

Wow. I bet that was a crazy time! The wedding takes place here on the 3rd of Oct. and then I have a grandbaby due back east, 2000 miles away on the 11th of Oct.! This will absolutely be mayhem but of the best possible kind. – Omgosh. I will so totally trade you weather right now. I wish we were going into spring or fall or even winter. This summer has been brutal.

Ugh, the smell of seal-coating along with the heat just makes me nauseous…and I'm not a guy prone to nausea. I'm thinking of upgrading my Galaxy S7 Edge to an S8+ so I'm glad to hear you enjoy your new phone! Still trying to get back to life as “normal” after my time in Wyoming, which I loved SO MUCH!!!!

Oh I know how that adjustment is. I feel it every time I come to visit in Michigan. You almost want to turn tail and run back. 🙂 – I do love my S8. My lit'l sis got the S8+. A slightly bigger screen but that's the only difference. I had that big screen with one of my Galaxy phones and I felt like Get Smart talking into a shoe. That thing was huge!
